I agree with Marilynn. These types of appointments are typically not loan signings, so there's no title co or lender involved. They just need a few pages signed, maybe one or two notarizations, and can usually work from a scan. Sometimes they want the originals returned, sometimes not.

I've never worked for this guy, but my usual process for this type of work is to arrange in advance that I will be paid as soon as the signing is finished, often via credit card, by phone, sometimes via PayPal. Then I go back to my office to complete the scan.
