From what I've read here that's a fairly new requirement. IMO, it should have been the client's responsibility to give you a heads up about that. It's a very unusual process, which we shouldn't be expected to be up to speed on. And yeah, I agree that $25 doesn't cut it here to have some third party tag along for the whole time! And taking the whole process to another location (e.g. UPS, a bank or whatever) just adds more time and expense.

For the sake of all IN notaries, I hope this really was a typo and that they get it fixed asap!
