I'm curious about this one too. Wish OP would return and clarify. After re-reading OP, I think it may be a split signing (as someone else mentioned).
Newbies: Please learn your state's notary laws forwards-backwards/inside-out -- completely -- before attempting to accommodate real estate transactions. It will save you some stress and possibly save the signer(s) the aggravation of having to re-sign and possibly some money in the loss of a rate lock. As a signing agent, you're dealing with what may be someone's largest long-term investment. |
