I am torn on this. I agree that they said 'anytime this weekend'... any 'responsibility' that would fall on the notary in this situation comes more from suspicion that the documents pre-dated might cause a problem. I would have specifically mentioned the date on the documents when I notified them of the reschedule. I sign many many loans that are dated prior to the signing but I have never seen one dated after.
Only Jenny knows how she feels in her gut about what happened. If she felt like seeing it through... I don't think it makes her a whipping boy... she's a tough cookie. Maybe she's got more reasons for wanting to maintain client relations? So this immature freak is playing blame games... so what? I agree that you can't allow yourself to get walked on but you don't have to throw the baby out with the bathwater either. You can get offended and refuse to fix it or work for them but it is a sad fact that many many companies and employees will play the same game if there is a problem. You better be ready to nix a lot of clients if you are looking for total integrity in this industry.
Where we totally agree is that Jenny is such a great person and a great contribution to the boards. She can sign my loan anytime!!!!!!!!!! |
