Responding to: "I personally do not charge for standard notarizations, i.e. jurat or acknowledgement... I feel that since I am a public official, read public servant, that it is my duty. I am also so thankful to have a source of income after many years without, I figure that I can help out my fellow man.
I also do not charge a travel fee when I go to notarize a document. Travel means nothing to me anymore since I traveled 100 miles one way for a year to go to school. Maybe I am just different in this respect. I am just not that petty."
Trying to understand...
If you are called by an Individual, it is your policy to charge nothing?
If you are called by a company, then you do charge --for instance, a medical record affidavit?
Thanks. |
