At present, Vermont has hardly any notary laws. There's a few paragraphs explaining how they are appointed, who doesn't have to pay the $30 fee (police officers, justices of the peace, town clerks, etc.). There are a few sentences about how notaries perform their duties. If all the laws were collected together, they would probably fit on 2 or 3 pages.

The new law, if passed, would be substantially the same as OR, ID, MT, ND, IA, WV, and PA. It would be about 30 pages long.
