This is true, however first thing that comes to mind is I would be at fault, car vs bike or pedestrian. They have the right away on the sidewalk. I was already over the sidewalk however, and he should have seen me in his path (if legit), but who knows.The cost of insurance going up and all that, easier to make it go away for $50.00. That is what ran through my mind. He had a scraped, bleeding knee...It was middle of the day at a busy intersection. Last thing I need is a ticket. That is what went through my mind. I offered to call the police, the ambulance all of that...believe me, it wasn't my idea. I was in shock as well...it didn't hit me until about 2 hours later I was scammed.
Of course I jumped out, The guy was on my hood, then the ground, who wouldn't get out to offer assistance?? |
