| It is required in Louisiana for notaries to record any acts they pass that affect immovables, such as Act of Sale, Act of Mortgage, etc. There are a few exceptions, but the statute pretty much places the duty on us; which is why most Louisiana notaries HATE working with out-of-state mortgage lenders. |
