Absolutely! That is good to hear, and important to say. Having a police department as part of the community is a realistic goal, and it is happening in some places. It's good to share that information, techniques, experiences, and ask our leaders for that type of engagement if we don't have it.

I have been super impressed with our PD's consistent message that they take responsiblity, are clearly defining their role as peace officers - and saying that - and that they are here to protect and serve us, and that they are part of us.
