First of all, I learned several days later that the site I relied on for this had retracted their story. The discussion on this thread went off the rails before that, and I haven't had a chance to correct the record so I'll do that now - I was wrong, and I apologize.
Regarding Snopes, I don't believe they have a leftist agenda. They use the "Miscaptioned" stamps for both sides of the aisle for stories that are true, but not related to the editorial content that accompanies them. They also stamp things as "Hoax" when things are not true - again on both sides of the aisle.
In this case, the video was real but incorrectly attributed - therefore, it was correctly marked as "miscaptioned". If they had an agenda, they would have not even weighed in on it, and would have just let it stand unchallenged.
