I had a gentleman come in for a live scan, similar circumstances. A birth defect. Very sweet, highly educated. He was the head of security for the courthouse staff (judges, DAs, etc.) parking structure.
Some years ago, in the City of Industry, I was instructing a notary class at a hotel/casino. The class was filled to capacity that day. I beautiful young man came in and sat in the front row. He had no arms. He asked me if I minded if he completed the exam using his toes. I said, of course not.
This young man was already an attorney for a municipality. He had graduated with his undergraduate, Masters and Law Degrees already. I had so much admiration for this young man.
We get to meet all kinds of courageous people in our work who do not let obstacles stand in their way.
