from you promoting your low ball signing service, promoting the business model of "how low will you go".
You're advertising, plain and simple. I've been n business long enough to know my business. When a LO makes a serious, obvious mistake in his docs, his processor, his uw'r, his escrow officer, no one catches the mistake but the notary, really, they all got paid their due. But not the notary. And while we're at it, let's short pay her, she won't notice.
While you're out there selling your own services short, then hoping all the notaries will run their legs off to sign up with you, you're downgrading our industry. I have no respect for your views or your business model. You and people like you are disgusting.
Title policies aren't cheaper, nor appraisal fees, origination fees, application fees, escrow fees.
Let's screw with the notary who brought the deal to a close, twice, so everyone could be paid their fees. Now, I could have kept my mouth shut. The transaction was well on it's way to close. What would have happened if I hadn't said a thing? The deal would have closed, and I am pretty sure CFPB compliance would have been all over it sooner or later.
By the way, on this refi, title made $1275, SS made $250, Lender got $3200....what'd I get, $110. All about shareholders profit.
It's just not good enough. But it's how SS's operate these days.
Now Bob, why don't you go start your own SS forum somewhere else. This forum is for notaries, not Signing Service owners with their own best interests first and foremost. I think I can safely say, this membership is very bored with your featured posts about what it takes for you to stay in business these days, by shafting notaries fees so that you can land bottom fee contracts with the escrow title community.
