Re: Is it possible / realistic to bypass signing agencies??

It is possible, but as Roger said, you'd better know your stuff. T.C. & mortgage companies are very unforgiving when it comes to screw ups. That's why many here will say sign up with ss first to gain some experience. My opinion is you need 200 to 300 signings under your belt minimum with a variety of lenders before you're ready to work directly with these companies. If you want $150 per signing, you need to be worth it. I've been doing this full time for three years and I'm at the point where about 80% of my business is direct. But that took time.

As far as the connections you have and the promises made, I wouldn't quit my job based on that. I've heard too many false promises. I can't tell you how many times I've heard someone say I'm going to be their go to guy, they'll never use anyone else, they'll send me 30 - 40 appointments a month, yada yada. I'm still waiting.
