As far as I am concerned, you are ahead of your game because you did not butcher your post.
A few typos are no big deal, but when a person thinks that "mabey" is maybe, or you are is "your," or if they write in all lower case, that reeks of laziness. Laziness is not going to make a signing agent.
I think if you have any kind of background in legal, mortgage or title you have a good shot at it. It's not often suggested or encouraged, but if you have the connections to get a package or two in your hands, and if you read almost every post of this board, you might pull it off.
If you blow it with a title company, you'll get dropped from the roster until the escrow officers change positions or leave. Seems to be a good bit of turnover in the fly-by-night fee/title offices that cropped up during the refi boom. It might be a year and you'll be back. But how embarrassing is it to get good referrals before you are ready? I'd rather work for SSs forever rather than embarrass myself in front of one good contact who could refer me from now on.
It's not brain surgery, but paying attention and having a good memory for what you read on the boards is invaluable. Most of what I have ever needed to know has been covered here. For the rest, I call title or the lender.
