As far as I'm concerned...I'm still doing a "signing"

Not even going to worry about the word "consummate" - not only will this definition vary depending on who you talk to but IMO it's going to sound totally ridiculous to the borrowers.

My spiel will still be "I'm calling to confirm our appoint to sign some documents" and when they say yes I'll go into the rest of my spiel regarding date, time, requirements, etc etc.

No consummation.....still a signing.
