I agree with MV/VA. I simply tell them the dates I won't be available and when I'll be back. I usually also tell them that I will be reachable by phone, just in case. That way I can decide who/if to refer and possibly get signings for when I get back.
Sometimes it works out, sometimes not. Last time I took several days off, I lost a long-time GNW customer. Hate that, but the amount of work they had had been declining anyway. So it goes sometimes... |
