BUT in all my reading I did find another little tidbit, which will be a whole conversation for another day - attorneys in GA are not allowed to act as "witness only" closers - it's an ethical violation and a violation of their Code of Professional Conduct - they can't just get the package and say "oh, I just watched them sign" - they are responsible for the entire process. They don't get to switch hats, like we do between signing agent and notary - once an attorney always an attorney, along with all the inherent responsibility |
