I have a Hl-L6200DWT and only use compatible toner and drums. First time I had the same problem with toner not sticking to the page. Then found the fix.
On the print page click on Properties, On the brother property page click on Advanced, click on other print options, on the left side of the page click on Improve print output, On the right side of the page click on Improve Toner Fixing, back out to print page by clicking ok two times, then print. Printer will run for a few seconds without printing anything while the fuser heats up more, toner will then fix correctly. It resets to the default so this must be done with each print job.
