When I had similar issues I tried a new toner and drum. Let me say, I always use off brand items with no problems. Once a toner was bad but that is it. It appears Brother takes the off brand items well.
To solve the problem of lines on my paper: I opened every door on the thing. I brushed around inside with a long-handled brush. I did the gently around any area that appeared it might tough the paper. I vacuumed inside it also. Blew it out also but I hear you must be very careful with blowing into it.
While doing this I shined a BRIGHT flashlight into every crevice in the unit. I did this over and over taking meticulous care looking in it because the problem persisted. Low and behold, I found a sheet of paper all curled down in there. You could barely see it. It was a terror to remove but in pieces I got it all out and my problem was solved. The paper was sticking up at both edges and is what was causing the lines on my printing.
Do a search on the printer type on this site and you will find lots of help. It has been talked about quite a bit. |
