How would you handle this situation. Received docs for an auto loan-documents that called for a notarization have not been filled out. Told hiring entity I was going to have signer fill in the required info to complete the notarization. Was instructed to not fill out the blanks, not notarize and to just have signer sign the said notarized docs.
Not comfortable with this at all. My first instinct is to cross out the notary section and initial. After all, it was obviously meant for me to notarize. And my second thought is to just leave them. I can record in my notary journal should it come up at a later date.
PS: I searched and searched about this in this forum. Thought I remembered seeing a post on this exact subject but cant find anything. Feel free to private message me as well if you have any reasonable insight to this situation. Its greatly appreciated. |
