OR... they'll do it themselves. I recently had someone from another state call me about notarizing a few documents about the sale of an automobile. I think the issue was missing data that would have prevented me from notarizing. The guy I spoke with said not to worry, he would get it notarized there. I asked him how he would witness the signature of the guy who was here? [I didn't mention or ask about RON.] He ended up providing the missing info.
However, I've also been asked many times to backdate - and refused. I don't doubt that they'll find someone who won't care - especially if they offer them enough $$, although that may not even be necessary, sadly. I also think we would be amazed at what can happen in some title co back rooms... |
