I noticed something that could be clearer. Using the page for January as an example, on the right side of the page, it says
(left column) "If the signing occurs on
"Wednesday January 1"
(right column)
"The Rescission Period Expires at Midnight On
"Saturday January 4"
But each day has two midnights, one at the beginning of the day, one at the end of the day. People already familiar with rescission periods (and who are wide awake) will know that this rescission period ends at midnight, end of the day on Saturday January 4. But new notaries, or those who are doing the last signing at the end of a long day, might not realize this. |
