Thanks, Yoli. That's what I thought. Years ago, I decided to order a second stamp for some reason and I remember the hassle of having to write a formal letter to the SOS office and then wait for the response before I could even place an order - which, of course, required sending the actual Certificate of Authorization via snail mail.
I think that's why I started automatically buying two stamps at the start of a commission. That way, I have one to keep in my notary case and I always have a back-up, inked and ready to go. So if the impression from one I'm currently using starts to fade I can just swap them and re-ink the other one whenever I have time, without any pressure. That's worked really well for me.
