Had the exact same thing happen to me. FedEx label was back to the borrower (??) Had to call Title to have them send me a corrected FedEx label. It took them pretty much the whole day to send the corrected label because the signing was on the weekend and they had to send someone over to the office to generate a new label. Thank goodness I always check the FedEx labels and print two for just in case situations. Plus, I always keep the second label copy with my confirmation so if there is any question about delivery I have the tracking number right with the confirmation and my account receivables right at hand. It has saved me a few times over the years when a title co. calls and says "we didn't receive package", it is right at my finger tips and I plug in the fedex tracking info online and can tell them they received it 3 days ago at such and such time. I am sure it ended up under someone pile of papers at title co. on their desk. It doesn't happen often but it does happen (sigh). Thought it was interesting no one at title co. looked up the tracking info online before calling me. :-) |
