But, with back-to-back appointments, it's challenging (if not impossible) to clean everything for the next client (and myself!). Yesterday, I had a nice, but very sick, couple. He was coughing uncovered all over the place, and was using a tissue that looked like it was from WW2. He dropped it on the ground, only to be asked by his wife afterward if she could use it, ugh. Then, when he started to lick the pages when passing, I quickly said, please don't lick the pages. Their yucky nonsense was all over my journal, my link pad, etc. Had to run to the next appointment. Pulled-out the docs, my journal, ink pad, stamp, etc. and went to work, when all I wanted to do was jump in the shower and sanitize my stuff! The FedEx clerk was like, and now the docs go to this address...yuck included. Yup. This morning, I'm going through my briefcase to wipe things down. As I usually do, but not this frequently. I heard a great PSA yesterday talking about employers encouraging employees to call-in sick if needed, and providing plenty of washing stations. Sounds good to me. Any good germaphobe suggestions out there? I'm game. Asking people if they're sick when confirming appointments? |
