Just curious. I know we are not supposed to solicit to clients during loan signings as an NSA. And I never do. However, has anyone had a client ask them to do a side personal notarization for them at a loan signing ? And did you agree and offer your fees ?
When I called the client for a 7pm loan signing tonight she asked if I could notarize a separate document (some affidavit for her deceased mother, and loan docs are refinance completely separate). I told her I would contact my organization and get back to her. I called NNA and they said it shouldn’t be a problem since she contacted me first. I offered her my fees and she decided not to do it (which was perfect). I take NNA with a grain of salt and would like your opinions on a client asking you to notarize an extra separate document when you are at the same loan signing appt? Thanks for any input.
