Yep, the polio injections that were given all those years ago did in fact leave a scar and some worse than others. This was because the needle itself was made up of many tiny little ones and the reaction caused it to blister, become very itchy and then scab and often people would scratch the scab off, and hence the scar. These days the polio vaccination is oral.
