I should have mentioned that Loan Depot mostly processes out of Arizona where cost of living is lower, or was once before COVID-19. They have offices nationally. There is an office in Irvine and Foothill Ranch. Headquarters are in Austin, TX. They funnel their loans to third parties who find notaries.
