Re: A Fidelity office is asking me to complete a CA Ack

The EO has been assured that the FL ack will be acceptable to the recorder and was provided with the FL statute regarding our certificate requirements. I would never provide two ack certs for the same document, especially when a certificate is not Florida compliant.

I did look up the contact information for the Sonoma County Recorder but am leaving it to the EO to call and confirm for herself that what I am providing will be accepted for recording. Maybe it will be a learning experience for her. It is so frustrating when EOs insist that it be done their way when it is contrary to our FL laws. I understand CA is very specific regarding the format of notarial certs but some EOs just don't get it that CA law does not apply for an out of state notarization.
