People do not want to leave because they have been at this xx years and the thought of starting over is almost impossible for those close to retirement or physically impossible. We have also seen the roller coaster every 5-8 years or so. The only thing making this different is RON, and unless people want to take a price cut and take on more responsibility for less money, it's either sink or swim right now and decision time. It's a great job to supplement your pension or SS. Obviously, GB you made enough money to spend a month in Maine, so it's not all bad if money is not the prime objective and people are still making enough to take a month off and relax.
So to answer the insistent question of why many never leave, I hope that answers it. Many, like yourself, make a great living as a notary, other's not so much. To each, their own, but you shouldn't continue to preach to others what to do when you do not take your own advice and still here as well. jmo |
