I would try to delete the McAffee stuff.

If you end up reinstalling Adobe Acrobat Reader, go to the download window at https://get.adobe.com/reader/

Under the blue "Download Acrobat Reader" button, in small grey print it says "More download options". Click that, and on the box that appears, uncheck "Install McAffe Security Scan Plus" and "Install McAfee Safe Connect".

Of course, these windows get changed every few months, so be prepared for a different maze in the future.
