I have had the same experience. No pay and no response since signing. I'm still holding documents without mailing instructions from them either. I came here to share after also verifying others have had same experience on coffee site.
I have called multiple times, left messages and emailed multiple times as well, but they ghosted as soon as scans were sent and acknowledged.
I think for unknown clients I am going to withhold scans until payment in the future. This is the second time I have been burned this year from a random attorney or "professional firm" representing them. My gas, materials and time is not free to scammers.
I hate to punish others for the bad of a few, but my stamp costs me money so nothing is free to me. Then can pay me for completed work, or they can hire another. Margins are too slim as it is in this economy.
