| Last January, I had transportation issues for about a month, so was not taking any work & bored. Started doing stupid 'paid' surveys...and invariably, each survey, whether political or product-oriented, wanted to know "where I got the 'information' that 'influenced' my thinking/decisions". It was a very long list of places to 'check if you used it'. What made the list so long was all the 'social media' sites...FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok (!) and at least a dozen others, some of which I never even heard of. All I can figure is the young'uns BELIEVE this...stuff. And then there's AI-assisted 'news' articles. True journalism died and nobody noticed. OK...I'm done now. |
