Cora Forgive me for disagreeing with your statement that you know the difference between a jurat and an acknowledgment. If you knew the difference you would not have been asking if you should attach an acknowledgment to what is obviously a jurat.
Most of us were experienced notaries when we began loan signings. We "cut our teeth" on regular notarizations.
This is the reason why some companies are now requiring a couple of years experience before hiring new signing agents. There are too many out there that became notaries just to do loan signings and they have no idea what they are doing and are hoping to get by on a wing and a prayer. Playing Russian Roulette with people's finances (loans) is not a good idea.
