I'm really not sure whether they are receiving a grant for services they will provide, or being reimbursed for services they have provided. The point is that they are not being funded by the government to provide abortions, which is a very small part of the service they provide to women - they are being funded to provide health care to women who cannot otherwise afford it. The arguments against them all revolve around abortion. Here in TX, the argument was that we could spread that money around to other local clinics. What other local clinics?? No one else has the reach and availability for women that PP has. |
