I have seen this type of post many times and find it to be full of misinformation. a quick google search would confirm much is false:
http://acehardwareintl.com/whyace.shtml "Ace store owners have three options for sourcing products: Ace Global Distribution (China) – Factory-direct international product sourcing provides more product options and competitive pricing Regional Warehouses (Shanghai, Panama & Dubai) – provides product assortments that fit regional customer demands Ace Domestic (U.S.) Warehouses – leverages strong U.S. brands with high-quality products"

It requires lots of searching to find where items are actually made today. Many products will state their headquarters are in the US but if you were to search you would find the parts going into their products come from abroad.
Just to be clear, I am not a proponent of much that is manufactured in China. I cringe every time I go clothes shopping and find everything made there. That being said, I am a proponent of reposting fact not fiction.
