"Who are they going to sue for the protests, memorial day, the beaches? You go to places on your own dime and take your own chances, just like anyplace else. This is a no brainer, yet the left makes it sound like something out of the ordinary."
We're already seeing the spike in new cases and deaths from opening the beaches to large crowds; we can expect to see another spike in a week or two from the protests.
So if it's a no-brainer, why does the campaign feel the need to indemnify both itself and the arena? Probably because their lawyers told them that they are inviting people into an enclosed arena, where the risk of spreading the virus is much higher than it is outdoors, and there's potential liability if people start getting sick - which is what will happen. Not to mention that the opposition will have a field day with the fact that people got sick and died because the Trump campaign ignored social distancing recommendations. |
