I'm still not sure if Parscale pulled that number out of his butt, but I suspect he did. He's in trouble now, because his boss and the kids are not happy that he made Trump look foolish.
There are reports that the campaign was trolled by teenagers requesting hundreds of tickets - unconfirmed, but if true, they will have destroyed the campaign's data-gathering operation, which Parscale liked to call the "Death Star". I guess he didn't watch that movie to the end...
The campaign is blaming the media (of course) and the presence of protesters for the poor turnout. There's no evidence of protesters at the rally. The ONE protester I saw footage of was a woman sitting calmly and wearing an "I Can't Breathe" t-shirt. She was arrested for trespassing despite the fact that she actually had a ticket to the rally - which suggests that police were told to remove anyone from the area who was not a Trump supporter. |
