something to cover the expenses of a mobile notary. IMO this came about a few years ago when someone (probably an attorney) challenged the fees listed on the HUD for "notary fees" for say $100 (example only) which exceeded the state's maximum fee allowed. Again, it's too bad that they don't fully understand what we do, and that those fees include printing, travel, etc. It's all about how it's listed on the HUD. Listing it as strictly "notary fees" is misleading, IMO.
