from sliding down your throat. It is a great immune booster, and feels so soothing. I have been using it for years, and love it. Love Sambuca. It's great stuff. Also slippery elm tea. Just be careful Cheryl, in thinking that it can protect you from a getting a respiratory illness. I pounded elderberry syrup like nobody's business this winter, and still got a very bad respiratory flu (which turned into pneumonia), and am still recovering. I am otherwise healthy, eat right, and exercise, and am not a senior, just lung compromised due to an accident (collapsed lung). It's tricky if you have respiratory vulnerabilities. Just thought you would want to know. You can get a respiratory illness even when drinking lots of elderberry syrup daily, as I did. Be well.
