I don't understand, Linda. "What's not legal in Florida is placing a lien on the borrowers' primary residence." To my understanding: A mortgage/deed of trust is a lien. A HELOC is a lien. A reverse mortgage is a lien. If there's a second, third, etc., those are also liens. Any kind of loan with the property used a collateral carries a lien. So, how can it be illegal to place a lien on a primary residence?
Call me Curious.
