I did the same thing you did and learned one of the most important lessons - that the answer isn't always the same. People are posting questions here and getting advice from someone who only has *maybe* another couple of months more experience than they do, because they state things as if they really know. A little bit of information is dangerous, because we don't know what we don't know. I TRY to stay in learning mode all the time as things vary so much by state and from lender to lender.

BTW, someone pointed out to me that I left off what is perhaps the biggest reason lots of the real long-time pros no longer post here: they got tired of answering the same questions over and over and over again! So I would be happy to have the above post added to the newbie thread. [I guess I should follow my own advice and not depend on someone else to do it!]
