Exactly. Why would a signing be worth the same amount of money to you whether it's a block away from you or requires driving for an hour to get there? YOU are the one who decides whether it's worth it for you to do a signing, not the signing service. I don't even bother responding to the ones that I KNOW won't pay enough of a fee to make it worth my while. Even if they call me on the phone, but the signing location is undesirable I'll just tell them that I don't do signings there, rather than quote them a fee that I know they won't accept.
