profitable assignments. I have not purchased a case of paper for at least 3 years. I had no interest in participating in the refi boom. Printing loan packages, driving endless back-breaking miles. No thanks. And I knew it would end with a big bust.
Do I regret getting my commission 7 years ago? Yes. You bet. It was an expensive regrettable mistake. I wish I had known better, especially with so many notaries earning mid six figures and many posters on the Forum bragging about how much they earn. I now know the truth. It has been a painful lesson.
(However, many of the notary educators/mentors do well). It does not take many suckers to make a nice profit.
As notaries, we have no marketable skills. Never have, never will. "Please sir, my I have an extra $10 print fee?"
Oh, my goodness. I was a fool.
