 Go to jail, collect $200
Posted by  Cheryl Elliott on 1/27/23 5:04pm

So I went to jail to perform a notary for an inmate who will be sentenced to life for his crime. Arrived early since I know the drill, only covid testing is required now. There were three other notaries there for other inmates. For a few minutes we were left in a main corridor and had a chance for a brief conversation about how this time last year we were immersed in a tsunami of refis but not so any more. One notary said here he is with no business and he needs to come up with taxes and feeling some angst.

He does quite a bit of jail work. Well, with the surge in crime, there are quite a few people in jail needing documents notarized.
