 Help - my Brother duel tray printer won't print legal size

I have two Brother dual tray printers HL-L62000 and a HL-L52000 and they both refuse to switch from letter to legal paper in mixed sized document packages (which most all of them). I can make them print legal if I switch the size in my Adobe setup but I can not get them to switch paper size / tray on their own.

This just suddenly started happening this weekend. They worked fine Friday now I have sort through documents and print the legal sized documents almost individually and it is driving me nuts. I have powered down & up everything and nothing seems to work. It must be some software glitch or "upgrade" but I can't find an answer.

Any suggestions??
