This is just further evidence that they don't really care a whit about this issue. It's just so they can check a box and make a claim that they're being careful of security and following requirements. I think this is probably true for most, from the top (lenders) on down.

Unfortunately, I don't have any better ideas on what can be done - and certainly SOMETHING is better than nothing. But it still often makes me shake my head about all these security measures - and wonder if they really help or are only reducing risk in one area and increasing it in another. Oh well...
