If you don't want to pursue the issue and find out exactly why you don't qualify, that is, of course, your prerogative. Personally, I'd want to know why if it were me.

Insofar as your statement: " … I could tell he had little respect for women. He was from another country." IMO, that's an inflammatory and prejudicial statement. He may have little respect for women. BUT, he doesn't have to be from another country for his lack of respect. Think Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby.
