I'm on the road every day pretty much, except Sat/Sun

When I try to stay home if possible...

We've had so many fatalities. Just last Saturday 2 29yo's from Bakersfield, CA coming to the coast, both killed when he crossed over the double yellow line and crashed into an oncoming car that tried to avoid his car by veering onto the rh shoulder. Those three girls were seriously injured and airlifted to nearby hospitals.

You kinda wonder, was he texting or distracted some other way? It wasn't a cloudy day or raining.

I can't tell you how many motor cycles come up behind me and I don't even know they are coming or how fast until they are right on me. I leave my radio off so that I can hear everything around me. Many of these people cause accidents on the freeway I travel.

While I think this new law will impact Uber and Lyft drivers, the rest of the world will continue to talk on their phone or text, law or no law. It's a habit.

No job, or work, pays us enough to be in constant peril on the roads, that's for sure.
