You are right!! I take my job as a notary very serious because we are a state official and it is a privilege to be a notary. In some states it might be easy to become a notary, but that does not mean we shouldn't take our job seriously. One could say that this is why most people I work with tell me that they wished all notaries were just like me.

I think one of the biggest problems is that since it is so easy in a lot of states to become a notary, the states are not able to weed out those who don't have any COMMON SENSE! The notary that is being talked about in this case clearly lacks common sense.
